Where do you come from?

Our roots are extremely important for us to know and cherish. But today, I will not be going so deep back into my roots to write about my great great great great grandfather or anything else. (:

Nope, today is just the surface of myself. The place where I was born. I was born in Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, Bangsar to be specific. Even more specific, I was born in Pantai Medical Centre there. I was born at 8.45 am ( I think) on the 20th of October, 1992. Of course I'm not sure where exactly in the hospital, but somewhere in it lah. haha

Pantai Medical Centre is located near the Telekom Building, the Pucuk Rebung thingy. I can and will always remember it to be somewhere there as when I was standard 2 and was admitted, I remember looking at the Pucuk Rebung which was new, from the cafe. So next time you see Pucuk Rebung, think of me. lol.

In the year 2001 or 2000 they started making renovations, so from a white building, it became blue and yellow. Here's a factfile, me and Daia were born in the same hospital :D huhu. All in all I'm proud to be a KL-ite and half Selangorese..lol.

So, next time you fill in a form and they ask for your place of birth, don't take it lightly because it was the first place you ever ever saw. haha bet you didn't think of that.

Negative Perceptibility (:

This is cool. I love looking at stereograms. It's simple, really. A stereogram is an optical illusion that makes you able to see 3D from 2D images. All you need to do is to have negative perceptibility. Just pretend to not look at anything while actually looking at something. (:

Lemme know if you can do it. Just focus on one point and with eyes unmoving slowly pull away from screen. YOU CAN DO IT! lol.

Emotions Spills Kills :'(

Yesterday was not such a nice day. For all the millions of Roger Federer fans, we were disheartened and upset with his loss to Rafael Nadal, whom most believe now to be invincible everywhere and anywhere. After 4 hours on the court, he finally gave up the title to Rafa. What made it worse was that he cried, Roger did. The so called "cool" and " emotionless" Roger. Seeing him cry makes me feel bad for him. But why should I you ask? He's got 45mil USD in winnings alone... But I still feel sad.I never saw him cry before.. :'( and...full stop.

I want to make you cry as well. :'(

P/s watching the video on youtube again makes me so sad. :'( :'( :'( :'( Idk what to say....

Aftermath

Writer's block kills.

At least there is something for me to write about. The frog thing. Everyone seems to be talking about it. I am not an exception. Though I know, most of us are keen to move forward ;) here I will just write a little bit and then let the pictures do the talking, as they say ; a picture paints a thousand words. So, can u count how many words in this?

It started out okay, but it was a little bit cruel when clorofom was added and the frogs jumped up and down probably to escape. We did it all in the name of science. So we took poor Kermit a.k.a Frogga to the dissecting table. Even to put down the first pins on its legs was hard to do, as there was some significance in the act. Most of you wouldn't understand. Then we cut through its cold hard body. Thinking of it now, gives me the shivers. haha.. SO the disscetion was carried out. Suddenly, I felt a bit woozy, then BOOM! it struck me, remember the time someone has a incredibly deep cut and bled like crazy, I felt faint then. So, reluctantly, I swayed to the chair and waited for the wooziness to subside. I know its frog blood, haha. Then later on, I came back. But there were so many people around our table, I couldn't possibly make anymore cuts.

Then there were the organs, the heart was amazingly cool. The stomach looked like squid, and the lungs were like balloons; I could almost imagine someone doing that to me...wooo.. But then it was cruel, ruthless.. You guys are awful, haha.. Decimating the frog like there was no tomorrow. An image that will stay in my mind forever is Irsyad, tearing up frogs legs.OUCH.. I know. Remembering it gives me the creeps..Human nature; Mr Hyde.

Enough said, here are the pictures. I don't want to put all of them here. Takes time. So there, enjoy.

P/s I strike myself to be amazingly toneless in this post. I wonder why..

V for Vendetta

Nice movie.

Quite out of the ordinary :D

Here's an excerpt to show you.

Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant and vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition! The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it's my very good honour to meet you and you may call me V.

Froggie-licious

Many people (i.e. Yuga @ Sayananana) think that it's cruel to dissect a frog. But, trust me. It's okay if done in the name of SCIENCE. haha

Next friday which is less than a week to go, we will be dissecting frogs. I can't tell you how excited I am, as if you don't dissect a frog, you can't possibly be a Bio student right. Come on! So, list of things to get : a) Frog lah.

                         b) Gloves ( I don't want to touch it with my bare hands :O

                         c) Soap. jk jk ..we can wash in the lab i suppose.

                         d) Lab coat? Will we be wearing our uniforms stained with frog's blood. Haha, sounds like a witch's spell. :D

So I will be posting piccies of our frog (SKIN's frog) later. Ker, faster buy it from the pasar malam. haha..

Tell me what you think about dissecting frogs. I say it's lucky it's not cats were dissecting ;)

It's Been A While

Have you ever notice the little things in life that make you stop and ponder about the more serious things behind that little occurence?

Well, I hope you have so you can share this feeling with me. If not, read on amigo...

It happened today, as I said, it's the amazingly simple things that get you thinking. It was at the Majlis  Akujanji or in English, The I Swear Ceremony. :D

So, the Pengetua was speaking about something, can't remember.. Oh yeah! About the patterns of SPM questions that never seem to change year-after-year. So, there I was half-listening (my leg was hurting, I wonder who invented the style of duduk bersila.. lol) And then Pengetua said something about the Maths paper, allow me to quote

" Kertas Maths pun tak berubah-ubah. Setiap tahun pattern dia sama sahaja. Selalunya soalan 1 kertas 1 tentang pecahan..."

And I was thinking, what is pecahan?? What is it? I've heard it before, yet I can't remember. Then I asked someone, he said fraction... OOOhhhh -_-" Then I remembered.

So that was the little thing that got me thinking. How could I forget pecahan. It struck me that we have already been studying Maths for 4 years in English until I forgot what fraction is in Malay.

It also struck me that we have so quickly come to the end of school...okay not end but penultimate la. So cherish your school years while you still can.
