This was a message I got yesterday. Warning! I never wrote this. Just because it's in my blog, doesn't mean I wrote this. Don't even let it cross your mind that the words in red are mine.
-_-" Please lah here are some things I would like to point out :
1. See who you are sending this to first before you do lah.
So St Valentine was a martyr, yes! He was caught marrying couples and what not, so was sentenced by the Roman emperor ; this was before Emperor Constantine. So therefore, Valentine was never a priest who fought againt Cordova, what in the world were you thinking? A priest, fighting in war? Where do you get your facts, do you research before you do the talking.
If Valentines Day was a day celebrating the fall of Cordova, then it is in appropriate to celebrate it. But Valentine's Day celebrates the martyrdom of St Valentine, who was killed by Roman emperor Claudius II, for marrying Christian couples. As far as I know, it has nothing to do with Cordova, unless they were disguised as Romans to kill St Valentine, which I think is hardly plausible. So check your facts, not everyone appreciates distorted facts.
